The importance of community
In today’s world, we often take for granted the very people that make up our innermost circle. What we failed to understand is that all humans need other humans to survive and to thrive. There are many among us who may feel like they are better off by themselves or get overwhelmed by an abundance of individuals. At the same time, even the most introverted person needs at least one person that can hear them and come along side them during every aspect of life. In the beginning, when God created, he created man from the dust of the Earth. He watched man go about his life on earth, realizing that man should not live alone. This is when God formed Eve. She was much more than a female. Her entire purpose in being created was to be a companion.
Whenwe look at our innermost circle, what words would you use to describe those that you are closest to? For many the word trust comes to mind. We trust the people in our circle to have our backs. We trust the people in our circle to tell us what we need to hear, even if it’s something we don’t want to hear. We trust that the people in our circle have our best interest at Heart in everything they do. When you think of how you interact with the people in your circle, how do you treat them? Do you worry about their overall well-being? Do you do what you can to support and encourage and guide? According to scripture we are called to carry one another’s burden and in doing so we’ve fulfilled the ball of Christ.
Often we have different circles that make up our overall life. Whether you are focused on your family, the circle of friends you may have, social circles, or community organizations you may be part of, a church, or any other type of circle of people that are special in their own unique way; realize that each person serves a purpose in your life, and you serve a purpose for theirs.
Make the choice to be a positive impact for your inner circle. Lead with positivity and never take for granted the people that have your back.
