The Art of Jokes
there’s something so poetic about the expression of laughter. Whether the joke is a simple pun, or a cleverly told story, the outcome of laughter should never be taken for granted.
I love telling really corny jokes. Sometimes the jokes are things I make up, sometimes I just look up jokes on the Internet and deliver them in a way that triggers a unique laughter response. Humor is one of the best medicines out there. It is amazing at how the start of a laugh really begins with a smile. Someone could be in the worst mood or going through a horrific event, and a appropriately timed lighthearted joke can help soothe even the deepest wound.
When I get really frustrated at my other job, I will get up from my desk and go to one of my coworkers and tell them a really lame joke. My coworkers are hilarious enough that they love my jokes, even at the most lame.. When I’m going to tell them a joke, I do hope they laugh, the biggest goal is for me to relax and to smile. Their laughter brings me joy. Instead of staying stuck in darkness, helping someone else smile also brightens something that we might be battling inside.
Proverbs 15:13: “A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit.” take time to appreciate laughter around you. Whether you are laughing, you are making someone else laugh, or you just hear laughter when you’re out in public. Laughter is one of the best medicines because it keeps us from sitting in a crushed spirit.
