30 Days of Gratitude: Day 21

God’s Timing Is Always Perfect

In the chaotic aspects of life, it sometimes frustrating for Christ followers to feel like God’s timing is always perfect. Sometimes we wish God would operate on our timelines instead of his of course there are scriptures. We can read that offer for us a reminder to be persistent in our wait. It doesn’t make it any easier.

Romans chapter 5 causes us to rejoice in our suffering. How insane does it sound to tell somebody to find a way to rejoice when they are in their darkest or lowest point of being? When we are called to rejoice in our suffering, it doesn’t mean that we have to be happy in our suffering. Rejoicing in our suffering means being open to how God is working with us in that moment. Sometimes God is waiting for us to be ready to use us for a new mission. in our time of suffering, as we’re waiting for God to move us through, that suffering, builds, confidence, character, and endurance. God is not going to move us into a new day, or a new mission, until he knows we are ready. And sometimes we might be ready to move out of the darkness, yet we are not ready to face what is on the other side.

There is a verse in Psalm 27 that encourages us to wait on the Lord. we must always remember that God‘s way is not our way. Even when we want God to move on our timeline, God never forsake his children. As we wait on the Lord God will show us how to be strong and to continue moving 1 foot in front of the other until it is our time to be called into a new beginning.

2 Peter offers us a reminder about our timeframe versus God’s timeframe. One day for God is 1000 years to us. A blink of an eye to God could be an entire week for us. when we think God is being slow to act, we have to remember that his clock doesn’t operate on our clock. We must be patient instead fast.

As we continue to approach Thanksgiving, and we continue the rest of our 30 day gratitude journey, we must always remember “what is impossible with man is possible with God.”
