The Ability To Be Fed
As a spiritual caregiver and pastor, it can be very hard to have a chance to be fed. Whether you are a ministry leader, a parent, a teacher, or anything else that has a speciality, it is hard to be fed because you are normally the one feeding.
This morning and afternoon, I had the chance to help decorate the church to prepare for Advent. Right now, as I write this blog, I am listening to Heirborn Promise rehearse. They are kicking off our Advent season this Sunday. I'm sitting in the back as they sing, taking deep breaths and celebrating the messages from their music.
I never take for granted my calling because it is a privilege to have the responsibility. When I have a moment to let my heart and soul be fed, I get the chance to reconnect in a way that I can’t do on a regular basis. I have to be better about looking for ways to be fed.
If you are used to feeding others, take a moment to be fed. Refuel, recharge, and be grateful for the gifts that allow you to feed others.
